5/14/2010 Multi Year Budgeting - Training by Capital Access - Download Flier
5/26/2010 Round Table - Green Construction Specifics: Obtaining LEED Certification, Working with GCEA, Green Roofs with OEQ, LISC Green Loan Fund
-Ben Savage of the Center for Great Neighborhoods of Covington will walk us through the positives and pitfalls of obtaining Gold LEED Certification for one of their new homes on Thomas Street
-Andy Holzhauser of the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance will talk about ways CDCs and neighborhoods can work with and benefit from GCEAÕs program
-Bonnie Phillips of CincinnatiÕs Office of Environmental Quality will present the Green Cincinnati Plan, and talk about possible Green Roof Loans, brownfields and climate showcase communities
-Samantha Brockfield of LISC will talk about their Green Loan Fund, a forgivable loan
-Representatives from the Cincinnati Chapter of the US Green Building Council and from Hamilton CountyÕs Office of Environmental Services are also expected.

7/7/2010 Round Table - "Universal Design / Visitability"
Rosemarie Rossetti, Ph.D., came from Columbus to share with us what she has learned since she became a person who uses a wheelchair for her mobility. She has put all her learning to good use, in designing a National Demonstration Home currently being buildt in Columbus.   Dr. Rossetti, president of the Universal Design Living Laboratory, showed us how UD/Visitablity makes sense for all of us all the time. 8/25/2010 "HOME and CDBG Regulations"
Herman Bowling, DCD Housing Division Manager, and Russ Hairston, Housing Division Supervisor, walked us through the rules governing the use of HUD Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds for both planning and housing production.
9/30/2010 "Building A Green Home: Process and Choices"
Home designer Sean Keith shared with us the work and the options he looked at in designing a flexible green home for Spring Grove Village Development Corporation. The creation of the design was funded through the New Model Project grant from PNC Bank to the CDC Association. As created, the home can be built with more or fewer bedrooms and bathrooms, and sited on property to provide optimal green advantages. Sean talked about the process he used, and the choices in materials that can be made.
