2009 Roselawn Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation

The 2009 Operating Support Grant allowed RoCURC to plan for future development activities and strengthen itself as an organization leading to improved operation. RoCURC is working on providing housing and other improvements in the neighborhood's business district along the Reading Road Corridor. The Grant allowed RoCURC to hire consultants to survey the Corridor and complete a housing inventory and write up on development opportunities around the neighborhoodÕs business district. TheyÕre excited about the development opportunities in blocks close to Roselawn Park and the Eastlawn Garden, anticipating that the improvement to the housing stock through rehab and homeownership could significantly improve the neighborhood overall. RoCURC are taking their ideas to the City of CincinnatiÕs Housing staff, and we are looking forward to seeing their plans become reality!
