We were awarded a grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation to create and/or update CDC websites.
Our email list expanded to over 600: that's CDCs, housing service providers, banks and financial institutions,
intermediaries, consultants, interested individuals, elected and appointed officials, and the media. They all get
our quarterly newsletter, The Networker.
Completed and compiled a survey of all area member CDCs to provide a complete picture of their
needs and accomplishments.
Held 5 roundtables on issues such as recevership, funding opportunities, members' achievements, effective
strategies, current advocacy needs, as well as the "One Stop Shop for housing and need" for the City to simplfy
the housting contract process with CDCs.
Collaborated with CDCs, county treasurer's and auditor's offices, mayors' staffs across the state, and numerous
intermediary groups to create and implement a Vacant Properties Forum in Columbus, OH.
Worked with the City of Cincinnati to reorganize their current receivership program to make it more user-friendly
for CDCs.
We provided logistical support to the Local Initiatives Support Program of Greater Cincinnati and Northern
Kentucky with its capacity building trainings for CDCs and other agencies.
Continually directed low to moderate income residents to the agencies that would suit their housing needs.
Our three annual events were a success. Expect even better next year!

We reorganized the Board, the office, leases and staffing following the non-renewal of funding by the City of
Cincinnati and the departure of long-time Executive Director, Barbara Milton and her assistant, Barabara Harris,
in January of 2003.
We held a Strategic Planning Retreat for the Board to outline priorities for the coming years and get the CDC
Association of G. Cincinnati back on track!
We drafted and adopted new By-Laws
We were chosen to be part of the UC/HUD Intern Program for Master students in Community Planning,
providing an intern for 2004-2005. (Thank you to Brandon Holmes for all his hard work!)
We accomplished so much together in 2006!
We worked on a number of issues with the City of Cincinnati, including:
Analyzing the problem of lead abatement costs, which had almost stopped rehabilitation using City funds,
and asking the City and HUD to work with us, which broke the logjam
Providing the point of view of CDCs in the many discussions about creating housing through use of the Blue
Ash Airport proceeds.
Streamlining the application process for CDBG and capital funding for community development projects
Successfully requesting that the Reallocation Ordinance be directed back to CD projects rather than roads.
Working on the foreclosure problem and becoming part of the Homeownership Preservation Group
We also worked on many collaborative efforts including:
Convened six Issue Roundtables on current CDC concerns
Four quarterly newsletters, The Networker, filled with information on projects, grants, jobs, financing,
community profiles and interviews with key community developers in the region
Six Updates providing you with events, workshops and timetables
Our best ever Annual Awards Celebration, featuring three Cincinnati City Council Members as speakers
and well-deserved honors for the retiring Sr. Ann Rene McConn
A great Bus Tour of community development in N. Kentucky preceded by a discussion of walkable
affordable neighborhoods with a national speaker sponsored by Northern Kentucky University and followed
by a reception at Hofbrauhaus
The Annual Holiday Reception co-hosted by LISC and the Uptown Consortium, held at Kingsgate Conference
Center
Worked with eight member CDCs to create and update their websites thanks to support from the Greater
Cincinnati Foundation
Supported the Ohio CDC Association's annual conference, held in Cincinnati for the first time in ten years
Carried out the 2006 Annual Community Development Survey, with responses from 27 CDCs
With support from LISC and the City of Cincinnati provided logistical support for six trainings for our
region's CDCs
